關於靜坐,我們必須瞭解我們要處在無思慮的靜觀(thoughtless awareness)狀態,當你腦袋有很多思緒時,你是活在未來或是活在過去,而不是活在當下的現在。

當你開始靜坐時,你必須說Nirvichar 的口訣,這就是無思慮的靜觀狀態,如此你的思緒會延緩拉長(elongate,註一),在兩個思緒之間會有一個(很小的)空檔,這個空檔就是現在(the present)

而且當昆達里尼上升時,她也會使這個空檔變大,如此你就可以在你的靈性上成長得更快,這才是真正的成長方法。(1992-10-12)

 

註一:Shri Mataji 在其他談話也如此說過,但是''拉長思緒''卻很少被翻譯出來,反而常被翻成''拉開思緒'',譯者以為那是誤譯,因為elongate完全無''拉開''的涵義,它的意思就是伸長、延長。譯者的體驗是:當人進入無思慮的覺知狀態時,人不會在諸多思緒中跳來跳去,頭腦整個沉澱下來,此時的思緒緩慢而像拉長了。

當昆達里尼上升時,她會拉長這些(腦中的)思緒,因此在思緒之間創造出一個空檔,這個空檔就是所謂的"當下現在",也是真實的存在。 過去的一切已經都結束了,未來的並還沒有存在。在那個當下你沒有任何思緒,就是你達到一種新的狀態,即你變成無思慮的覺知狀態。榮格對此狀態有很清楚地描述。在這個當下外界所發生的一切都完美地被記錄在你的記憶中,而且你會享受這真正存在的每一刻。 當你變成無思慮的覺知狀態時,在你的内裡會有完全的平靜與祥和。(1995-09-13)

此時首先發生在你身上的,就是你進入無思慮的覺知(thoughtless awareness)狀態,平時我們的思緒(thoughts)不是想到未來,就是想到過去,而不是想到現在,現在的當下才是真實的,過去已經結束了,它已不存在,未來則尚未發生,也是不存在,但是事實上,人就是無法處在當下。平常人的腦袋是一個又一個的思緒來了又走,人就是在這些過去和未來的眾多思緒中跳躍。但是當昆達里尼升起時,它會拉長(elongate)這些思緒,然後在兩個思緒中產生出一個空檔,這個(没有思緒的)空檔就是"現在""當下",此時你的心智頭腦不再起反應(reflection),你完全處在自己的寧靜之中,但此刻的你是有覺知的,有完全的覺知,可是你毫無思緒的。(1995-09-19)


Now regarding meditation, one has to understand that we have to be in thoughtless awareness.When you are thinking then you are in the future or in the past.But you are not in the present.But when you start meditating you have to say the mantra Nirvichar.

It’s thoughtless awareness.So your thoughts will elongate and there will be a space in between.That is the present.And when the Kundalini rises she also makes it wider.Then you can grow much faster in your spirituality.And that is the real way of growing. (1992-10-12)

 

“But when Kundalini rises She elongates these thoughts and thereby creates some space in-between, which is the present, which is the reality. So the past is over and the future doesn’t exist. At that time you have no thoughts. You reach a new state as you become thoughtlessly aware about which Jung has written clearly. At this moment whatsoever happens is recorded in your memory well and you enjoy every moment of this in reality. When you become thoughtlessly aware then you become completely peaceful within yourself.” (1995-09-13)

 

So first thing happens to you is that you become thoughtlessly aware. When we are thinking, we are thinking of the future or the past, but not of the present. Present is the reality. Past is finished. Future doesn’t exist. But we can not be in the present, is a fact. So now, one thought rises, falls, another thought rises and falls and we are jumping on the cusp of these thoughts of the past and future. But when Kundalini rises, she elongates these thoughts and there is a space created in-between. That is the present, when you don’t have a reflecting mind, you are absolutely at peace with yourself. You’re aware, absolutely aware, but you are thoughtless.......... (1995-09-19)
